PLUMBING

Gerald R. Spencer, PE is the Engineer of Record (EOR) for the design of the plumbing systems in more than 1,300 construction projects over the past 40 years.  Gerald R. Spencer, PE is experienced in the design of all types of plumbing systems such as high rise domestic cold and hot water pressurization, fire standpipes, fire sprinklers, domestic hot water generation by heat of compression reclaim, medical gas distribution systems, laboratory services, sewage treatment, water wells, domestic water systems, storm sewer systems, sanitary sewer systems, natural gas distribution systems, backflow prevention systems, gray water systems and FMC & Halon fire protection systems.  These projects have been located in Arctic, Desert, Coastal, Earthquake, and Hurricane areas. 

1.    DIESEL FUEL STORAGE FACILITIES:  Gerald R. Spencer, PE is the EOR for the design of 22 separate diesel fuel storage systems serving engine generator systems as follows:

2.   PLUMBING REVIEW BOARD:  Gerald Spencer, P.E. has served 40 years on the City of Houston Plumbing Review Board.  He is currently the chairman of that board.  Gerald Spencer has been re-appointed by each Mayor since 1970 when he was initially appointed by the then Mayor Louie Welch.   Each subsequent City Mayor has replaced every appointed member of the board except for Gerald Spencer.

3.      INDUSTRIAL PIPING:  Gerald R. Spencer, PE has experience with the design of industrial piping systems and with steam and process distribution piping design in refineries.  Gerald R. Spencer, PE has designed chilled water for systems as large as 12,000 tons, steam piping for pressures as high as 400 psig and condenser water systems as large as 12,000 tons.

3.      HIGH RISE PLUMBING SYSTEMS:  Gerald R. Spencer, PE is the EOR for plumbing systems for facilities up to 19 floors in height

        HOLIDAY INN PARK 10 - 19 FLOOR - 350 ROOMS - HOUSTON, TEXAS -  This is a high rise hotel with restaurants, meeting rooms, indoor swimming pool, laundry and kitchen.

        L'HOTEL SOFITEL - 8 FLOORS - 375 ROOMS - HOUSTON, TEXAS -  This is a high rise hotel with three separate restaurants, meeting rooms, indoor swimming pool. laundry and two kitchens.

        ALBERT PICK HOTEL 250 ROOMS - 10 FLOORS MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE - 

     SOUTH TEXAS COLLEGE OF LAW 11 FLOOR TOWER ADDITION - HOUSTON, TX -  Designed mechanical, electrical and plumbing for 11 story office and classroom tower with auditorium addition.  Top three floors house the state civil appeals courts.

     HOUSTON AREA TEACHERS CREDIT UNION - 8 Story 160,000 sf -

      PARAGON CENTER OFFICE - TAMPA, FLORIDA -  9 story - 180,000 sf plus parking garage
