Emergency power generation DESIGN

Gerald Spencer, PE is the AE of Record and/or the Engineer of Record (EOR) for the design and the construction of many SCIF, Airport Control Towers, Secure Department of State Communications Centers, FBI Academy fall-out shelter, medical facilities, emergency operating centers and other emergency operating centers where operations needed to occur at all times without regard to the commercially provided infrastructure utilities.  Gerald Spencer, PE is the EOR for the design and the construction of the HVAC systems and the electrical systems for facilities that are required to be operational during times when normal power and other utilities are not available.  Gerald Spencer, PE  has extensive experience in the design and the construction  installation of diesel engine, natural gas engine, and turbine engine driven electrical standby power generators.  Much of Gerald Spencer's diesel engine and gas turbine design and construction experience has been for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company UPS projects.  A natural gas engine generator was installed at the Brazoria County (TX) jail where Gerald Spencer was the EOR.  The largest diesel engine generator installation where Gerald Spencer was the EOR for the design and the construction was two 1250 KVA generators was for the DFW airport FAA facilities.  Gerald Spencer, PE was the EOR for the design and the construction of the new switchgear and new controls for four 1350 KVA generators with two parallel 3000 KVA transformers for the Mission Control Center at NASA-JSC.

1.      ENGINE GENERATOR INSTALLATION DESIGN:  Gerald Spencer, PE has extensive experience as the EOR for the design and the construction  installation of all types of emergency power systems including diesel engine, natural gas engine, and turbine engine driven electrical standby power generators.  (plus one flame fired thermocouple DC power generation system for an un-manned microwave relay power station at Ignak, Alaska).  Many of these projects had multiple parallel engine generators that were controlled by programmable controllers. Gerald Spencer, PE is the EOR for the design and the construction of the following engine driven power generation systems:
