Gerald R. Spencer, PE is the Engineer of Record (EOR) for the design and the construction of many Industrial Maintenance and Manufacturing projects for the past 21 years.  These systems have included Flammable Liquid Handling Systems according to NFPA 30, Class 1 Explosion Proof Electrical Systems according to NFPA 497M, Purged and Pressurized Enclosure Systems for electrical equipment according to NFPA 496, Lightning Protection Systems according to NFPA 78, Smoke and Heat Venting Systems according to NFPA 204M, Natural Gas and Combustion Air and Ventilation according to NFPA 56, Halon Fire Extinguishing Systems according to NFPA 12A & 12B, Fire Pump Installations according to NFPA 20, Emergency Power Systems according to NFPA 78, Portable Fire Extinguishing Systems according to NFPA 10, Fire Alarm Systems according to NFPA 71, 72A, 72B, 72C, 72D, and 72E, Medical Facilities according to NFPA 99 and Rubbish and Trash Chute Protection Systems according to NFPA 82.

1.    NASA-JSC - BUILDING 16 ADDITION - $1,650,000 - This project is an addition to the Avionics Test Facility for the addition of a space flight celestial navigation simulation trainer.

2.   NASA-JSC, thermochemical test area site hydrazine control and remediation plant

3.   NASA-JSC, thermochemical test area groundwater freon contamination remediation plant

4.   NASA-JSC, hazardous material holding tank facility certifications

5.   NASA-Ellington AFB, open air aircraft wash rack with oil/water separator

6.   U. S. Army Reserve Center, Amarillo, TX, open area equipment wash rack

7.   U. S. Army Reserve Center, Marshall, TX, open area equipment wash rack

8.   U. S. Army Ammunition Plant, Karnack, TX, diked covered storage

9.   U. S. Army Ammunition Plant, Karnack, TX, hazardous waste storage trailer facility

10.  REHABILITATE SPACE ENVIRONMENT SIMULATION CHAMBER SYSTEMS - 1993 - $7,000,000 - PER to rehabilitate Vacuum systems, Roots Blowers, Stokes Reciprocating Pumps, LIN piping insulation, and controls,

11.  USAF - Lackland AFB, Texas - Up-Grade Electrical 105 Munitions Storage Buildings

12.  USAF - Lackland AFB, Texas - HVAC Study 6 Buildings

13.  USAF - Lackland AFB, Texas - New Joint Intelligence Systems Integration Facility

13.  NASA-JSC - PLATING SHOP MODIFICATIONS - $350,000

14. NASA-JSC - BLDG 16 MODIFICATIONS FOR SHUTTLE FLIGHT SIMULATOR FACILITY - $450,000 -Remodeling of existing high bay into flight simulator facility.

15. NASA-JSC - BLDG 7 MODIFICATIONS FOR EXTERNAL VEHICULAR ACTIVITY FACILITY -  $1,100,000 - Remodeling and additions to existing Vacuum Vessel located inside high bay laboratory as required for development of space hardware and space suits for the space laboratory project.

16. NASA-JSC - BLDG 16 ROBOTICS DEVELOPMENT FACILITY - $450,000 - Remodeling of mezzanine of existing high bay into research facility.  We were hired directly by NASA.

17. MIST PROGRAM TEST, BUILDING 32J (INCLUDING $2,000,000 GFE EQUIPMENT) - $1,360,000 - This  project is an High Bay Building Energy test facility to test total energy consumption, heat reclaim, power generation, water   treatment, sewage treatment, and recycling of all water.

18.  BADISCHE BC503 ANALYZER BUILDING - $300,000 - This project is a building for the continuous processing of samples from the petrochemical plant.  Located in a Class I, Division 2, Group D.  Purged according to NFPA 496-82.

19.  BADISCHE BC411 CONTROL BUILDING - $2,800,000 - This project is a building housing the motor control centers serving the new petrochemical plant.  Located in a Class I, Division 2, Group D.  Purged according to NFPA 496-82.

20.  BADISCHE BC301 CONTROL BUILDING ADDITION - $400,000 - This project is a building housing the motor control centers serving the existing petrochemical plant.  Located in a Class I, Division 2, Group D.  Purged according to NFPA 496-82.

21.  BADISCHE DB805 SHOP BUILDING ADDITION - $150,000 - This project is a building housing instrument and control device maintenance activities for the existing petrochemical plant.  Located in a non-classified area.

22.  BADISCHE DB804 OFFICE SPACE REMODELING - $100,000 - This project is a warehouse that we converted part of the space to office use.  Located in a non-classified area.

23.  BADISCHE BC802 CONTROL BUILDING ADDITION - $400,000 - This project is an addition to an existing building housing the motor control centers serving the existing petrochemical plant.  Located in a Class I, Division 2, Group D.  Purged according to NFPA 496-82.

24.   BADISCHE BC802 CONTROL BUILDING ADDITION - $400,000 - This project is an addition to an existing building housing the motor control centers serving the existing petrochemical plant.  Located in a Class I, Division 2, Group D.  Purged according to NFPA 496-82.

25.   SCHENECTADY CHEMICALS PLANT 2 / PLANT 3 MCC ADDITION - $400,000 - This project is an addition to an existing building housing the motor control centers serving the existing petrochemical plant.  Located in a Class I, Division 2, Group C & D.  Purged according to NFPA 496-82.

26.  AMOCO MCC-5 AND INSTRUMENT AIR SOURCE BUILDING - $400,000 - This project is a new building housing the motor control centers serving the existing petrochemical plant and an instrument air source for the plant.  Located in a Class I, Division 2, Group C & D.  Purged according to NFPA 496-82.

27.  DUPONT VICTORIA BLDG #570 ADDITION  - $750,000 - This project is an addition to the administration building.  Located in a non-classified area.

28.  ACID STORAGE BUILDING - RED RIVER ARMY DEPOT - $450,000 - This project involved a new warehouse for the storage and handling of all types of acids.

29.  BUILDING 1172 REMODELING - RED RIVER ARMY DEPOT - $450,000 - This project involved a new facility for the storage and testing of all types of military missiles.

30.  BUILDING 1174 ADDITION - RED RIVER ARMY DEPOT - $450,000 - This project involved a new building for the electronic testing of military missiles.  The test area of the building was constructed to be completely Radio Frequency Shielded.

31.  JORGENSON STEEL HEAT TREATING SHOP BUILDING - 100,000 SF -  $1,000,000 - Quench Tank Cooling Equipment Design plus new building design.

32.  JORGENSON STEEL WAREHOUSE BAY 9 SHOP BUILDING - 100,000 SF - $1,000,000 - Materials Handling warehouse with overhead crane.

33.  DUPONT VICTORIA OFFICE & SHOP BUILDING ADDITION - $450,000 - This project is an addition to the existing machine and welding shop and office building.  Located in a non-classified area.

34.  DUPONT LA PORTE LANNATE SERVICE BUILDING ADDITION - $500,000 - This project is an addition to the existing machine shop and welding shop building.  Located in a non-classified area.

35.  DUPONT LA PORTE PETROLEUM STORAGE WAREHOUSE ADDITION - $500,000 - This project is an addition to the existing warehouse.  Located in a non-classified area.

36.  DUPONT VICTORIA CCR BUILDING - $750,000 - This project is a new building for controls serving the plant.  Located in a Class I, Division 2, Group D area.  Purged according to NFPA 496-82.

37.  DUPONT VICTORIA LABORATORY BUILDING ADDITION - $450,000 - This project is an addition to the existing shop and office building.  Located in a Class I, Division 2, Group D area.  Purged according to NFPA 496-82.

38.  CELANESE BLAST PROOF CONTROL BUILDING - $1,500,000 - This project is a blast proof control building located in the middle of a petrochemical refining complex.  Located in a Class I, Division 2, Group D area.

39.  EASTMAN WHIPSTOCK OFFICE & WAREHOUSE - HOUSTON, TEXAS -  $400,000 - This project is a one story warehouse and office building in Houston, Texas.  We were consultants to McKittrick, Drennan, Richardson, & Wallace Architects on this project.

40.  FLASH EVAPORATOR TESTING BUILDING NO. 7 - This project involved the design of a vacuum vessel as required to test the cooling effect of waste water evaporation in space as required for equipment cooling.  We were employed directly by NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas.  John Welch at JSC was the project manager.

41.  HIGH PRESSURE CRYOGENIC PUMPING SYSTEM - PROJECT 72-1034 -  This Project involved modifications to the Cryropumping systems at Chamber A and Chamber B at JSC.  This included modifications to the Helium refrigeration system.  We were employed directly by NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas.  Joe Fulton at JSC was the project manager.- This project involved the modification of the LIN heat to the existing LIN Tank farm and LIN pumping to the Helium Refrigeration System and the LIN Heat Shields.  We were employed directly by NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas.  Joe Fulton at JSC was the project manager.

42.  RADIANT HEATING TEST EQUIPMENT SUBSTATION - PROJECT E-101 - BUILDING 260 - This project involved the installation of a new 15MW sub station that powers a solar radiation simulation test facility.  Jim Willis at JSC was the project manager.

43.  RADIANT HEATING TEST EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION - PROJECT 72-2029 - BUILDING 260 - This project involved the installation of 10MW of artificial solar radiant heating equipment for a solar radiation simulation test facility.  We also designed the installation of the Ignitron system to power the solar simulation equipment.  We also designed the installation of a space chamber in which the solar simulation tests were performed.  We also designed the Space Chamber which was actually a modification of a surplus altitude chamber that was installed at the Rocketdyne engine test facility in Reno, Nevada.  We were employed directly by NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas.  Joe Fulton at JSC was the project manager.

44.  RADIANT HEATING TEST EQUIPMENT SUBSTATION AND INSTALLATION - PROJECT E-101 - BUILDING 13 -  This project involved the installation of a new 5MW sub station that powers a solar radiation simulation test facility.  This project also included the heat shield cooling system for the test vessel, which was water cooled in lieu of cryogenic system.  Jim Willis at JSC was the project manager.

45.  MANWAY FOR ACCESS TO MAN RATED CHAMBER VACUUM PIPING SYSTEM - PROJECT 72-2075 - This Project involved modifications to provide access to the rough vacuum piping that serves Chamber A and Chamber B at JSC.  We were employed directly by NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas.  Bill Metcalf at JSC was the project manager.

46.   LIN CRYOGENIC PUMPING SYSTEM MODIFICATIONS - PROJECT 72-2073 - This Project involved modifications to the Cryropumping systems at Chamber D and Chamber E in building 33 at JSC.  We were employed directly by NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas.  Joe Fulton at JSC was the project manager.

47.  SOLAR SIMULATOR COOLING SYSTEM MODIFICATIONS - PROJECT 72-2029 - This Project involved modifications to the Solar Simulator cooling systems at Chamber A and Chamber B at JSC.  We were employed directly by NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas.  Gene Burton at JSC was the project manager.

48.  ULTRA-HIGH VACUUM TEST FACILITY - BUILDING 33 - This project was a test facility to house non-man rated altitude chambers D, E, and several other smaller chambers.  Gerald R. Spencer was the EOR for the design of the Cryogenic systems that served the various test chambers.  This included the LIN circulation systems, Cryropumping systems, solar simulation, LIN Storage Tank Farm, LIN distribution piping, and the LOX system.  Mr. Spencer was in the employ of another engineer at the time of this assignment.

49.   MODIFICATIONS TO LIN CIRCULATION SYSTEM AND CHAMBER A & B MODIFICATION - PROJECT 72-1011 - This project involved the addition of LIN Tank storage to the existing LIN Tank farm and LIN pumping to the Helium Refrigeration System and the LIN Heat Shields.  We were employed directly by NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas.  Joe Fulton at JSC was the project manager.
